TRAVEL TO INDIANA:

The Windy City, famous for Greek and Italian food, touch-the-clouds skyscrapers, magnificent architecture, the Bulls, the Cubs and the White Sox. That’s our destination on this action-packed trip. We travel through the Great Smoky Mountains, Kentucky’s gorgeous horse country toward the heartland of Indiana for our first overnight stop.
Day 2

CHICAGO • FIELD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY • DINNER:

We travel north this morning to the west shore of Lake Michigan to begin exploring Chicago, the largest city in Illinois. We begin at Field Museum, a natural history museum filled with nearly forty million artifacts that enable us to explore cultures present and past, learn about the latest scientific discoveries, and travel the world while right here in Chicago. Get your taste buds ready because dinner is included tonight. We check into our Chicago hotel for three nights’ stay. (D)
Day 3

CHICAGO TOUR • NAVY PIER • SIGHTSEEING CRUISE • DRURY LANE THEATRE:

This morning we are joined by a local guide for a fascinating tour of the “windy city.” We see the main sights and learn about the Great Fire of Chicago and hear stories about famous gangsters of the past. Enjoy free time at the iconic Navy Pier, which offers food, entertainment and shopping. Later, we board for a relaxing harbor cruise, enjoying the views of Chicago’s skyline and shoreline. This evening we take our seats at Drury Lane Theatre for an energetic Broadway show. (June Departure: Always Patsy Cline / November Departure: Sister Act) (D)
Day 4

SANFILIPPO ESTATE • VOLO MUSEUM • DINNER:

Before there were jukeboxes and radios there were mechanical music machines that played the music of the day to entertain. At Sanfilippo Estate we see a vast collection of the largest variety of these restored instruments in the world and hear exactly what the people heard and experienced when it was new. After lunch we visit the Volo Museum. This museum features an extensive collection of over 400 classic and rare vehicles, including iconic movie cars, military vehicles and vintage automobiles. We have an included dinner this evening. (D)
Day 5

GRIFFIN MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY • ALBANESE CONFECTIONERY • DINNER • INDIANA:

Our first stop takes us to the largest science center in the Western Hemisphere, Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. Our next stop is the Albanese Confectionery Factory Store which offers a delightful selection of bulk candy, nostalgic candy, nuts and mixes, and of course the World’s Best Gummies and Chocolates. We have one final farewell dinner together as we head on south for our last overnight stop. (D)
